At June 2nd 2013, I’ve left to NYU ITP CAMP with a rough idea to somehow use technology  to improve public transportation service for brazilians. Yet, by the middle of June, the subject of public transportation in Brazil exploded in a unexpected way. Soon, I was in NYC watching through social networks the massive protests in Brazil about the bus fares increase.

Then, I felt the need to express my feelings about what was happening in my country. This is how the BRAZIL WAKE UP project came to life. It was my way of taking part on what was going on in my country, even from many miles away. And to perpetuate this controversial event, when the usually passive brazilian youth decided to go to the streets to express our dissatisfaction with taxes, mismanagement of public funds and poor public services.

See how it works
